About Dr Fairleigh Reeves - Urological Surgeon
MBBS, PhD, FRACS (Urol.), MIPDEd
Dr Fairleigh Reeves is a urological surgeon, with experience in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Fairleigh delivers compassionate care across a range of conditions. Her areas of special interest are prostate cancer diagnosis and management and assessment and treatment of urinary symptoms. Fairleigh also offers laser surgery and other minimally invasive options for treatment of renal stones and benign prostate enlargement.
Fairleigh is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ). She received her medical degree (MBBS) from Monash University in 2008. After undertaking core training in Victoria, Fairleigh concluded her urology training with a fellowship year in Auckland, New Zealand.
In recognition of her subspecialty uro-oncology and robotic fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, Fairleigh is a Member of the International Postgraduate Deanery with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. In London she had extensive training in robotic surgery of the prostate and kidney and worked with world leaders in the field.
After gaining overseas experience, Fairleigh returned to Australia to share her specialist skills with patients in her home city of Melbourne.
Fairleigh’s practice is based in East Melbourne. Privately she operates at Epworth Richmond, Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Eastern. Fairleigh has public appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Australian Prostate Centre.
Outside of work, Fairleigh loves travelling, cooking and hiking. She particularly loved the walks she has done in New Zealand, Tasmania and Europe. She also enjoys making time for creative hobbies such as photography and silversmithing.

Fairleigh has a strong academic background and is passionate about providing evidence-based care. She has a PhD in prostate cancer and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at The University of Melbourne. About Dr Alex Nesbitt - Urological Surgeon
MD, FRACS (Urol.), MSc, BSc
Dr Alex Nesbitt is a locally trained urologist who is excited to be part of the team at Urology Specialist Care. After completing initial specialist training years in top hospitals in Queensland, Alex moved to Melbourne to get further experience with the very busy Monash Health urology unit. Alex now works as a consultant urological surgeon at Monash, where he is also appointed as the supervisor of intern and resident doctor training. Alex has a Masters of Surgical Sciences through the University of Edinburgh, focussing on prostate cancer research.
Alex prides himself on his calm bedside manner and ability to communicate in plain language, ensuring patients understand their problems and all available treatments. He has significant experience in both surgical and non-surgical management of prostate issues, urinary symptoms and kidney stones, and all urological cancers such as prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancers. Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his young family.
